After developing a loyal customer base in the 1950s with an auspicious niche in zinc finishing technology, PAVCO® was able to experience its first extensive growth spurt in the 1960s.
Anticipating a significant trend in the 1950s, PAVCO® began ground-breaking research on low-cyanide zinc technology to replace cyanide zinc plating, the industry standard.
As a result, PAVCO® introduced an innovative, environmentally friendly, low-cyanide zinc plating system that quickly became the new industry standard.
Those early beginnings resulted in numerous product line expansions, successes, and steady growth for PAVCO throughout the 1970's. As PAVCO entered the 1980's, the company became a proven supplier of finishing technologies throughout the United States.
Soon market needs were once again changing, this time demanding alkaline non-cyanide technology. As a result, PAVCO worked to develop the world's first alkaline non-cyanide technology, resulting in PAVCO's most significant growth to date.
With the introduction of the alkaline non-cyanide technology ALK2V3, PAVCO raced into the 1990's by expanding our reach globally. In 1990, PAVCO entered the international marketplace by supplying our products to finishers in Europe, Asia, and South America. During this period, PAVCO became the worlds #1 supplier in zinc finishing technology, and one of the most prominent metal finishing suppliers globally.
Midway through the 1990's, PAVCO® 's loyal customer base drove our decision to expand our product line into numerous other metal finishing technologies.
Over the years, our dedication to matching market needs with our industry-leading research operation has generated an unmatched lineup of products. With the same game plan that made our zinc offerings #1 in the world, cutting edge technologies and unparalleled customer service, PAVCO® undertook its largest research and development program in its history.
Development has since delivered new, innovative technologies for nickel, tin, alloys, cadmium, chrome, copper, and phosphate systems. PAVCO® 's entrance into these fields has given the marketplace fresh technological options in sectors that began to accept the "status quo" in these systems.
The year 2018 marks 70 years in business for PAVCO®. We look back with pride on our first 69 years in business, and look forward to a future full of promise.

The year 2020 marked a fundamental shift for humanity. In particular, the metal finishing industry was quick to be deemed essential to the economy and did not stop pushing production during the toughest sanitary lockdowns. Pavco and our partners endured through this period of rapid change and extreme volatility. Resilience, cooperation and value-driven thinking is what kept us strong. As the world continues to face important supply chain challenges through 2022, we stay positive knowing that our industry’s importance will keep us writing new and exciting chapters for Pavco.
